After undergoing medical tests on Wednesday, it appears that Marco Reus will recover in time for his side’s return leg against Juventus.
Yesterday, Borussia Dortmund super star Marco Reus picked up an injury in his side’s cup match. At first, it was reported that the talented winger would miss out on Dortmund’s return leg in the Champions League round of 16 against Juventus. However, this appears to no longer be the case. According to calciomercato.com, initial tests have not shown any serious problems for the German international. Moreover, his injury is likely just a contusion and did not affect his ligaments in his ankle, that he has previously injured in the past. Due to the good news, Reus is expected to play against Juventus in about two weeks time and may even feature in Dortmund’s upcoming Bundesliga game against Hamburg.
On March 18th, the German side host Juventus at the Signal Iduna Park and find themselves down 2-1 on aggregate. With Marco Reus confirmed, Jurgen Klopp’s side will like their chances at getting a result seeing that they already have an away goal.
