Rimini will no longer compete in Lega Pro this season after not being able to meet certain economic requirements.
The economic state of clubs in the lower tiers of the Italian football continues to force many to halt their promotion a league higher or close up shop all together. Lega Pro, like all other leagues below them, have seen their fair share of clubs fail to answer the call to partake for an entire season. With the 2016/2017 season around the corner, the trend continues and as per their official website, Rimini has failed to register for the upcoming campaign due to the inability to meet the necessary financial requirements.
A.C. Rimini 1912 announces that in the past few days, it has not reached the economic quota necessary to comply with the required parameters and complete registration for the next Lega Pro championship.
