Rolando Maran spoke to Sky Sports after his side drew AC Milan at the Bentegodi.
The Chievo manager spoke first on the match itself: “We had plenty of opportunities where we could have been a bit more polished. We have to find the great sprit we have always had. Today, we wanted to make it clear that our setback against Empoli was merely an isolated incident.”
He then spoke on the arguable man of the match, Mattiello: “He played in an area where they could have really hurt us, but he did well. Schelotto and Mattiello both did very well. They pushed very deep and gave us some great crosses. We must exploit the other teams’ weaknesses and today we did it. We have plenty of room for improvement, but these guys are doing their best in every manner.”
Chievo now sits right outside the relegation zone, struggling against their cross city rivals, fighting to the end in order to remain in Serie A.
