The next few hours will be decisive for the transfers of Džeko and Palmieri.
The negotiations between English Champions Chelsea and Roma for the services of Edin Džeko and Emerson Palmieri are nearing the closing stages and the next hours will be decisive for the negotiations to be successful.
Chelsea and Roma are continuing to find a total agreement for the two players and according to Di Marzio Chelsea have not accepted the conditions of the Giallorossi who have requested €50 million plus €10 million in bonuses for both players.
It is also unclear whether out of favour Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi will also be included in the transfer, however Roma are likely to turn down signing the Belgium international should Chelsea attempt to include him in the deal.
If Batshuayi is not included in the deal between The Blues and Il Giallorossi, Roma will look to sign Daniel Sturridge of Liverpool, but Inter and Sevilla are also interested in the Englishman so a deal would be unlikely.
Ultimately, if Roma fail to sign anyone in this transfer window they will look to reinforce the squad in the summer by signing young Italians in an attempt to build a more Italian squad. Some of the names Roma have been looking at are Bryan Cristante of Atalanta, Simone Verdi of Bologna and Nicoló Barella of Cagliari
