Lorenzo Pellegrini is yet another young talent that is emerging in Eusebio di Francesco’s Sassuolo this season.
Pellegrini is a Roma youth academy product and the Giallorossi have a recompra clause on the player should they decide to bring him back to the Capital.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the young Italian has been turning heads not only at his former club, but also at other big clubs around Italy, with Juventus, Inter and Milan all scouting the 20-year-old midfielder. Even Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are allegedly interested in signing the talented playmaker.
Pellegrini made his debut in Serie A with Roma against Cesena in March of 2015, when he entered as a sub for Salih Ucan. That summer he was transferred to Sassuolo for the sum of 1.25 mln euro. He scored his first Serie A goal on December 6th of 2015 against Sampdoria.
Since 2014 Pellegrini has made a total of 20 appearances between the Italy U19 and Italy U21 teams, scoring two goals.
Lorenzo Pellegrini, a name that has always been talked about with the AS Roma faithful is making a name for him self in Emilia Romagna, and his performances have drawn the eyes of many scouts from across Italy. Could he be the next piece of the puzzle for not only one of the top teams in Italy, but also the Italian national team?
