Roma are in talks with Barcelona to sign right back Aleix Vidal.
Roma are continuing to make the headlines in this January Mercato and despite having key players linked with moves away from the Stadio Olimpico Monchi and co are looking to bring in reinforcements.
The latest player il Giallorrosi have been linked with is Aleix Vidal of Barcelona. Roma are attempting to negotiate a loan deal for the Spanish right back with an obligation to buy for between €10-€11 million.
Roma Sporting Director Monchi is familiar with Aleix Vidal as the Spanish international is a former Sevilla player and Monchi sold the 28 year old to Barcelona in June 2015 for an €18 million fee plus bonuses. If Roma and Barcelona can come to an agreement on Vidal the two will be reunited in the Italian Capital.
Several Roma players are expected to be sold in this Mercato and signing an established player from Barcelona will help to satisfy the Roma faithful who are becoming increasingly frustrated with President James Pallotta and Sporting Director Monchi as a result of star players such as Mo Salah and Antonio Rüdiger being sold in the summer and due to the fact that star striker Edin Džeko and left back Emerson Palmieri look destined for Chelsea. In addition to this young midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is edging closer to a Juventus move according to Corriere dello Sport.
