Spalletti looks to fill two more spots before the transfer window ends, one of which he would like Matteo Darmian to fill.
Laroma24.it has reported that AS Roma are looking for a midfielder and a right back, and have chosen Manchester United’s Darmian to fill the right back role.
Since Mario Rui’s injury, the Giallorossi have been searching relentlessly for a replacement and have been linked to several defenders, including Inter’s D’Ambrosio and Milan’s De Sciglio.
The team inquired about the availability of Darmian for a loan deal last week, but the Red Devil’s only wanted a permanent transfer deal. Roma could be ready to offer a permanent deal for the player after acquiring Vermaelen on loan.
The 26 year old did not feature in Manchester United’s Community Shield victory August 7th.
