Over the last few days, Roma and Genoa have been negotiating over Diego Perotti and appear to have struck a deal.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma and Genoa are very close to agreeing a fee for Diego Perotti. The giallorossi are expected to pay 12 million euros including bonuses. Prior to selling the Argentine to Roma, Genoa would like to find a replacement.
Following Juan Iturbe’s move to Bournemouth, Walter Sabatini was in the market for another winger and views Perotti as the ideal candidate. Genoa, on the other hand, have identified a few players to replace the winger. Di Marzio reported that Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are interested in Milan’s Alessio Cerci. In recent training sessions at Milan both Keisuke Honda and Kevin-Prince Boated have been tried in his right wing position.
Another player that may come to Genoa to replace Perotti is Stephan El Shaarawy. At the moment, a number of teams are after il Faraone. It’s also important to note that El Shaarawy is an option for Roma if their pursuit for Perotti is unsuccessful. Genoa are also keen on signing Giuseppe Rossi from Fiorentina as it was reported earlier in the week.
Perotti has made 13 appearances this season scoring one goal and registering one assist.
