Roma Forward Patrik Schick believes that the Giallorossi can “score three” against Liverpool on Wednesday.
La Magica were 5-0 down in last week’s Champions League Semi-Final First-Leg at one point but scored two vital away goals in the last 10 minutes which has sparked talk about another Barcelona comeback.
Although the odds are against the Lupi they did manage to comeback from a 4-1 deficit to Barcelona and win 3-0 to progress through to the Semi-Finals.
Schick spoke with Roma’s Official Match Programme about the upcoming game and seemed confident that the Giallorossi could score against the Reds.
“There will be a wonderful atmosphere again on Wednesday just like there was against Barcelona.
“If possible it will be even more so against Liverpool. At the end [of the first leg] we saw that they’re not as strong at the back as in attack, we have the chance to score three goals at home.
“In my opinion we have to go on the pitch without fear, with great determination and great courage”.
The tension between both fanbases has reached breaking point as Liverpool fan Sean Cox was assaulted and is in a coma. Schick commented on the situation and seemed upset about the situation.
“My thoughts and those of the whole dressing room are for Sean’s family. This kind of thing doesn’t have to happen, it’s only football and there must be respect between everyone”.
