Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti was interviewed after Roma’s sensational win in the Europa League.
Spalletti was extremely content with his teams performances, especially Edi Dzeko who notched an impressive hat trick.
Interviewed by Sky Sports Spalletti had the following to say about the match:
“We must always work hard for the result, especially at European level, but we played a good game. Salah is training and playing well, Fazio and Rudiger played very well, sometimes we allow ourselves to relax too much and we lower our focus which allows our opponents to take advantage.
“Conceding the goal? We need to be able to position ourselves better in the box in order to prevent that again. “
Dzeko making life easier?
“There were several steps that have marked Edin’s positive change: last year he struggled when he was replaced by Totti but this has given him the strength and drive to redeem himself.
“This season I gave him a hand against Samp, when I put both on the pitch and we turned the game.
“Totti set him up for about 2-3 goals. He’s a total footballer, can do everything, we are more empowered as a team and he knows he is important for this group. Edin has enormous qualities, his goals today showed that.”
“This isn’t a problem. The club plans continues with its plans, but we must change the mentality of the team if we want to win something. This is a fantastic group, I have never had the chance to coach such a good group.”
