Highly-rated Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has signed a renewal with the club that will tie him down to the bianconeri for the next four years.
Earlier this morning, Juventus confirmed that Daniele Rugani has extended his current deal by one year and signed a renewal until 2020. The defender joined the Italian champions this summer from Empoli.
After securing the defender last January, Juventus opted to send him back to the Serie A side where he spent the remainder of the season. Rugani finished the year playing in all 38 games and established himself as one of Italy’s biggest talents at the back. While he hasn’t received much playing time this season, Massimiliano Allegri is said to have big plans for the player. As a result, Rugani was handed an extension.
Rugani is the third player this week to sign a renewal with Juventus following the renewals of Simone Padoin and Roberto Pereyra. Now the bianconeri have reportedly set their sights on offering stalwart defender Andrea Barzagli an extension as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Rugani has made nine appearances this season for the Serie A giants and most notably came on in the final thirty minutes of Juventus’ win over Napoli.
