After today’s crucial 2-1 win away at Torino, Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri held a press conference with Sky Italia expressing his thoughts on the huge victory.
Is this the best moment of your career?:
“The first time I entered the pitch was in 1972, after 44 years involved with football, on Saturday I have the chance to finally qualify for the Champions League and I don’t plan on messing this up now. We need to qualify for the Neapolitans, the San Paolo needs to give us a helping hand.”
Allan was monumental, when he is playing he seems to elevate the intensity:
“Yes, even Marek Hamsik for 70 minutes had a great game. After the 70th minute, we stopped playing our way of football, we only defended and we took Marek out of the game for this reason. Allan saved us from our normal dip in intensity in the match.”
On the goal conceded:
“I need to see it again, the bench is 8 meters away from the pitch and you can’t see anything. This is a habit of Italian football, I saw very little.”
Napoli close out their Serie A campaign against already relegated Frosinone this upcoming Saturday and with a win, can automatically qualify for the 2016/2017 Champions League.
