Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri was able to keep his team focused after an eventful evening in Rome against Lazio.
Following Napoli’s convincing victory Sarri spoke to Mediaset Premium about the game.
“We had a good first half, quickly going ahead and that made things easier. We did worse in the second half, just managing a game is not in our character. Lazio is a more proactive team, I knew that we could not leave them even a tiny bit of space, we prepared for the game well.”
When asked about the racist chants that occurred during the game Sarri stated:
“The situation was becoming embarrassing, I would like to commend Irrati. The interruption complicated our plans a bit, we were forced to manage the game and that is not our style. Koulibaly is intelligent and poised, I think that he will be disheartened but I believe that with the help of his teammates he will return to being happy.”
