Sassuolo and Parma are working on an unprecedented 5-player swap, Gianluca Di Marzio reports. Parma would send to Neroverdi the RB Aleandro Rosi, the LW Nicola Sansone and the CB Pedro Mendes, while receiving RW Ezequiel Schelotto and CB Jonathan Rossini.
A massive deal like that can easily collapse as many players (and agents) are involved, now the teams are discussing the formulas: reportedly, there won’t be any permanent deal and Parma will receive around €3M.
The 24-year-old Argentine Schelotto could join Parma on a loan with an option to buy and would be another man at Donadoni’s disposal on the right flank, both as an offensive winger (Biabiany can play also on the left) and as a RWB. At Sassuolo, he could play only when 3-5-2/3-4-3 was used, but it seems that Di Francesco is keen on returning to his beloved 4-3-3 and of course Berardi in untouchable.
The 24-year-old Swiss CB Rossini has been a bust for Sassuolo this year and, especially if he joins on a co-ownership, he might be loaned to a Serie B team.
The 26-year-old Rosi hasn’t played much, but was always positive when on the pitch. He would give depth and quality in a position where Sassuolo have only Gazzola and Pucino and he can play both as RB and as RWB. He’s expected to join on loan.
The 23-year-old Portuguese Mendes featured in sporadic appearances, showing to be a nice prospect. He might be on his way to Serie B too as he should join on a co-ownership, especially because Sassuolo have already bought Manfredini and Ariaudo and they are pursuing Anji’s Ewerton in the CBs’ department.
The 22-year-old Nicola Sansone is the highlight of the trade. Last year, he was a specialist in coming off the bench and scoring against top teams, ending the season with 6 goals and 3 assists. This season, after a slow start, he seems to have found his rhythm in Donadoni’s three-man attack. His 2 goals and 3 assists all arrived in the last 8 matches. He’s rumoured to be joining Neroverdi on a co-ownership and that’s why Sassuolo will have to put some cash in the deal.
