Leicester returned with an improved bid for Sassuolo’s Acerbi.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, EPL champions Leicester City submitted a new bid to Sassuolo for Francesco Acerbi.
The original offer was in the region of 10 million euros, but they have returned with an improved offer of 13.5 million euros.
However the report indicates that Sassuolo President Squinzi has rejected the approach outright as they wish to retain Acerbi.
Even a call from Claudio Ranieri himself was not able to convince Acerbi to push the transfer through.
The former Chievo and AC Milan center back has attracted plenty of interest due to his reliable presence this season.
