Sassuolo and Juventus reached an agreement over Spanish full-back Pol Lirola who will join the Neroverdi on a permanent basis once his loan spell ends in the summer.
The 20-year old talent was pegged to join the Bianconeri in the summer with Alex Sandro and Stephan Lichtsteiner’s futures at the club in doubt past June. However, Sassuolo have managed to work out a deal with ‘the Old Lady’ that will see the Spaniard remain at Mapei Stadium for the foreseeable future.
The former Espanyol academy product joined the Italian side’s youth system back in January 2015 before being sent out on a two-year loan in July 2016 where he has remained ever since.
Lirola has featured in a total of 18 matches combined this season under former boss Cristian Bucchi and current head coach Giuseppe Iachini, contributing with just a single assist.
