Nicola Rizzoli of Bologna will officiate Sunday’s big match between Juventus and Roma, which will be his 174 cap in Serie A. In his career, he has officiated 76 wins for the home side, 53 draws, and 44 wins for the away side.
Rizzoli’s history officiating these two teams has been quite balanced as Juventus have won 8, drawn 9, and lost 5; while Roma have won 9, drawn 9, and lost 6. However, Rizzoli has never officiated a Juventus-Roma match that has resulted in a Roma win. The three times that Rizzoli was responsible for the fixture, Juventus won twice (2-0 in 2008-09, and 4-1 in 2012-13) and there was one draw (1-1 in 2010-11).
