Sevilla’s sporting director is set to leave the Spanish club and begin a new adventure with Roma.
According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sevilla sporting director Monchi will depart the club and join Roma.
Monchi will become the clubs new sporting director in June, as his contract is set to expire with Sevilla at the end of July.
The report claims that Alex Zecca and Franco Baldini had dinner with Monchi in London, in which details were discussed and an agreement was made.
Sevilla have been wildly successful during Monchi’s time there; winning the Europa League three years in a row and having recruited a number of stars.
Roma will be hoping to utilise Monchi’s talents to help the club achieve their goals in the coming years.
