Medics confirm the muscular injury for the Swiss international who will miss key matches versus Wolfsburg and a tricky visit to Sampdoria
Inter star Xherdan Shaqiri “suffered a right hamstring strain that will keep him sidelined for a week” – thus reads the medical bulletin released by the Milanese club through their twitter account.
As reported earlier this week, Shaqiri forced Mancini to a substitution after only 20 minutes of the neroazzurri home match against Cesena.
Inter needed Shaqiri to reverse the 3-1 defeat suffered in Germany last Thursday. His absence against Wolfsburg will be a major blow for Mancini, who won’t be able to rely on the Swiss international to accomplish what is shaping up to be an unlikely feat of winning 2-0.
Shaqiri has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 13 games since joining Inter in January.
