The outgoing Atalanta goalkeeper will move to Fiorentina this month.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Marco Sportiello has arrived in Florence and is ready to begin his adventure with Fiorentina. Departing from Milano on a train, the goalkeeper has just arrived in the city and is ready to undergo the medical exams before formalizing his transfer from Atalanta to Fiorentina.
The deal between all the parties is an 18 month loan deal (which runs until June 2018) and after a right to buy for Fiorentina.
Ciprian Tatarusanu seems destined to leave Fiorentina in the near future and Sportiello could become the Viola’s starting goalkeeper before the end of the year.
For Sportiello, being frozen out by Atalanta in favor of Etrit Berisha was simply not good enough. The Italian wants to be the starting keeper for a club and feels he has the best chance of doing that in Florence.
Fiorentina’s first January signing will be a much needed addition to their goalkeeping spot.
