Lazio and their midfield captain Lucas Biglia have stalled recently on finding an agreement over a new contract, alerting London giants Chelsea.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Lucas Biglia’s contract extension talks have broken down, alerting Antonio Conte’s Chelsea who are actively seeking to bring the Argentinian international to London.
Biglia was in talks with the club over a new deal, however the captain was left disappointed with the offer received from Lazio president Claudio Lotito. As a result of the below par offer, the 30-year old will not extend his contract which expires in 12 months.
Conte is keen on bringing the midfielder in this month as he aims to finish the 2016-17 season champions of England, but is also weary of the interest from MLS side Atlanta United.
