Stephan El Shaarawy has been ruled out of the Torino match, and even worse, possibly the Celtic UCL match. This is a living nightmare for AC Milan. With many other key players injured, these next few weeks may become very difficult for the Rossoneri.
El Shaarawy’s injury is quite unfortunate, he has suffered a torn lesion in his thigh: commonly known as a thigh strain. He will go through medical tests to make sure this injury will recover correctly.
Many news sites, such as Gazzetta Dello Sport, Forza Italian Football and Corriere Dello Sport have reported this same injury. It is described as a torn bicep lesion in his right thigh. No timetable is set for his return, but it is known he will miss the next two games for the Serie A giants.
Hopefully for Milan this will be the final injury they will suffer for a while, as Ignazio Abate, Mattia De Sciglio, Matias Silvestre and Giampaolo Pazzini are all injured for the side which calls San Siro home. El Shaarawy has started off ok thus far in the season, scoring against PSV away in the UCL Playoff Qualifying Round, and has shown huge strides in progressing with fellow Milan striker and Italy International, Mario Balotelli. AC Milan must await the return of Il Faraone, however long that could possibly be.
