With revelations that Miranda would like to leave Inter, the nerazzurri have set their sights on Benfica’s promising center-back.
With the transfer window closing in 15 days, Inter are eager to add defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica to their ranks. The 22-year-old Swede has been on Inter’s radar for quite some time now. The Suning Group controlling Inter’s transfer funds have given the go ahead to pay the 30 million euro release clause for the central defender.
Lindelof poses as an exciting prospect in central defense for a team that is eager to add another defender to a shaky center back situation. Although only 22, Lindelof has impressed many with his play at the Portuguese club and has even earned 6 senior caps with the Swedish national team. Although he has only made 17 appearances, Lindelof is rated very highly by the club which is evident by his elevated release clause. With new owners, Inter seems more than willing to spend in order to improve weak points within the squad.
