Swansea are in quite a dire situation, as they sit mired in a relegation battle in the Premier League. The Swans are hoping to use January to reinforce the side with some quality.

According to Sky Sports, Swansea have asked Palermo on the availability of Alessandro Diamanti.

The playmaker lost his starting spot during the season, but Palermo themselves in a relegation battle and have rejected the offer.

Furthermore, it is believed Diamanti would prefer to stay in Italy.

Diamanti has experience in the Premier League having played for both West Ham and Watford.
