FIGC president Carlo Tavecchio would love for Antonio Conte to extend his contract with the Italian National Team.
According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, Tavecchio is sure that Conte will renew his contract which ends after the 2016 Euro in France. The FIGC president told reporters,:
” Conte is like a son to me, but if he decides to leave, as I always say, if a pope dies another one is appointed,” said Tavecchio.
Though Conte has been taking English classes this past year Tavecchio rules out any other rumours linking him to the Premier League and stated that,:
“Our coach is taking English for a year is not a bombshell, in today’s world it is a right to learn this language.”
With his future hanging in the balance, Conte will look to shut down all rumours around him as his azzurri find themselves in a difficult group with Belgium, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.
