Thiago Silva will, reportedly, reject a chance to stay at Paris Saint Germain after his current contract runs out in 2018.
L’equipe report that the Brazilian defender’s relationship with the French champions has hit a stumbling block due to the club’s decision which prevented the player from helping his country to win Olympic gold over the summer.
Calciomercato claim that another reason the ex-AC Milan centre-back wants out of Paris is due to Presnel Kimpembe’s promotion to the first team.
The French youngster has made six appearances in Ligue 1 whilst Thiago Silva has only made two and, unless PSG boss Unai Emery involves the club captain more this season, it is unlikely that the Brazilian will choose to renew.
Thiago Silva moved from AC Milan to PSG for €42 million in 2012 alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and renewed his contract the summer after.
According to these reports, the San Siro is the most likely destination for the Brazilian and the rossoneri are monitoring the situation.
