Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a centre back and are said to be interested in Inter outcast Andrea Ranocchia.
The defender has found playing time hard to come by with the nerazzurri this season and is not in Stefano Pioli’s long-term plans with the club. As a result, there is a possibility that he will be on the move in a few days time. According to Tuttosport, Tottenham are interested in signing Andrea Ranocchia. Jan Vertonghen recently went down injured and will be sidelined long-term, therefore help in the middle of the defence is needed.
Calciomercato.com have also reported that Watford boss Walter Mazzarri is a keen admirer of the player and may look to bring him to England. However, Ranocchia reportedly has no intention of joining a smaller side. The Inter man’s contract expires in 2019 and it’s been said that Watford are willing to pay the rest of his contract to make the move happen.
Tuttosport have also claimed that if Ranocchia is sold, Inter may then turn their attention to Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez. The Swiss international has already stated that he would like to play in Italy and Inter would be an ideal fit for him, considering their lack of quality fullbacks.
