Roma captain Francesco Totti is reportedly waiting on the club’s president James Pallotta to discuss his future.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the renewal process of Francesco Totti’s contract is yet to begin. The legendary Roma man is waiting for Pallotta’s arrival in the nation’s capital to discuss a potential new deal. It wouldn’t, however, be an extension of his current deal as his salary right now would cause Roma some problems. Totti would then reportedly consider taking a pay-cut from his usual 3.4 million euros per season, which the club will be looking to reduce.
The 39-year-old has featured sparingly this season with the arrival of Edin Dzeko. That said, the Bosnian international has struggled immensely to acclimate himself to the Serie A therefore Totti’s importance on the team may expand moving forward this season.
The Roma captain has made five appearances in all competitions this season and has scored a goal and registered one assist.
