The Azzurri host the Albanians in the fifth round of World Cup Qualifying in Group G.

The Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo will be the venue for the very important clash for the Italians.

Giampiero Ventura has just recently concluded a 2-day training camp for several U-23 players who have aspirations of one day debuting for the senior Azzurri side. At the moment, Italy are tied for first place in the group with Spain, but are behind on goal difference.

13 games have been played by the Azzurri in Palermo with the Italians winning 11 of the matches. The last game played there was against Bulgaria which Italy won 1-0 courtesy of a De Rossi goal.

The last time Italy played Albania was in Genova and again the Italians emerged victorious 1-0 via Okaka’s debut goal.
