Marco Verratti is being eyed up by Bayern Munich bosses after differences over contract talks distanced him from current club PSG.
The former Pescara boy feels like PSG don’t value him enough and is looking for a pay rise or a transfer. Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid was reported to be interested but the latest links Verratti with the the German champions.
The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that an income of €2m per season is not satisfying for the 21 year-old, and neither is the play time he gets. Only recently he extended his contract to an expiry in 2018, a move which failed to dispel transfer rumours surrounding the preposterously talented starlet.
He joined Paris Saint Germain in advance of the 2012/13 season for a fee nearing €14m and has since starred at the World Cup and the Champions League. Recently he broke the record for most touches by any player in a Ligue 1 match (158).
Rest assured that if he isn’t going anywhere in this particular transfer window, he will still be one to watch in the coming years – provided PSG or whatever club he joins gives him the exposure he needs to develop.
