Walter Mazzarri On Match Against Torino

Walter Mazzarri, manager of Inter Milan, spoke to Sky Sport and analyzed the 1-0 victory against Torino: “The only negative aspect of the match for us was that we didn’t close out the match, and there was the possibility the other team could tie the match. It would have lost us two points, it’s definitely a negative, and we can’t think about a one goal advantage. In the end, we had chances to seal it out and make it 2-0, but we were inaccurate in the final third.”

On the defensive pairing of Ranocchia and Campagnaro: “They were very good. I really have to congratulate Andrea Ranocchia, he has been training well. His future? It’s too soon to talk about it, he will be evaluated at the end of the season, just as everyone else will.”

Did Rolando contain Cerci well? “Yes, by doing that, he did something extraordinary. I wanted him at Inter, I knew he’d grow exponentially game by game, and he is always among the best players on the field every match.”

What does Icardi need to improve on? “He’s doing well, he’s been hurt and hasn’t played for a long time. He’s not at his top form, but he will improve by training harder. I tried to keep him on the field for more time to help him regain his match condition.”
