Maurizio Zamparini spoke to the media today and highlighted the reasoning behind his appointment of Roberto De Zerbi among other things.
With Davide Ballardini’s departure from Palermo, the club’s owner Maurizio Zamparini talks about his most recently appointed coach Roberto De Zerbi.
De Zerbi was brought in to replace Ballardini over the weekend during the international break and has had time to work with the squad. The fiery patron spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss about the new man in charge of his club:
“I picked De Zerbi because I have always tried to give starts to young coaches, and primarily those with a winning mentality, like with Ventura and Zaccheroni.”
With Serie A resuming this weekend, Zamparini talked about the match against Sarri’s Napoli and their chances of winning;
“Napoli? To get a result, we need a miracle. I rate Sarri highly. His team can do as much damage as a team with Higuain.”
