It appears his time in Turin is coming to a close.
His trip to Germany appears to have been decisive as Simone Zaza nears the exit door. After meeting with the club officials in Wolfsburg the Italy international is heading back to Italy this evening to examine further the offer put on the table.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Zaza is impressed and seemingly convinced by their project. Their offer is a 4-year deal worth €3.5 million plus bonuses annually.
The 25 year old forward had a meeting with the president and the coach, and their desire is to have him available for the German Cup clash in about a week.
Having obtained more or less the thumbs up, the Germans will accelerate forward and look to close the deal on Monday. They are still a million or so off of what Juventus are asking, but there’s hope that they can strike a deal quickly with the Old Lady.
For better or for worse, Simone Zaza’s future is in the Bundesliga.
