Juventus forward Simone Zaza expressed his satisfaction at his goal but underlined that he would like to play more in the new year.
Zaza’s goal was his sixth in 11 appearances putting him on an impressive goal every 62.5 minutes. Despite his impressive goalscoring record, the former Sassuolo man is yet to break the first team and is used mostly as a substitute. After the game Sky Sport caught up with the player and asked him about his overall thoughts on the game. Zaza told reporters,:
“I’m happy with my first goal of the new year and hope more goals follow. I would like to play all the games but the coach decides and I don’t question his choices. I hope to play more going forward. We have to reach the top of the table and to do this we can’t afford to slip up in any game. We have to get the most points possible until the end.”
When asked about the rumours linking him away from the club, the Italy international said,:
“I am convinced that Juventus is the right team for me.”
