The Italian champions meet with Simone Zaza’s entourage with little progress made.
The former Juve striker is currently on loan to English club West Ham United. This past summer the Hammers announced that they had loaned Zaza for a €5 million loan fee, with a €20 million permanent obligation to buy fee after a 14 of Premier League appearances, plus €3 million in bonus. Zaza has fallen out of favour in East London, making only 9 appearances so far this season.
Juventus and Zaza’s entourage were in Milan on Wednesday discussing the player’s future. He has five games left before the condition of the transfer becomes permanent. Despite Zaza’s willingness to play, Juventus are in no rush.
Currently, the Italian international would not fit into Juventus’s plans. The Bianconeri are loaded up front with Higuain, Dybala, Mandzukic and Pjaca returning after the winter break. Super starlet Moise Kean would also be preferred over Zaza. West Ham on the other hand may be experiencing buyer’s remorse not willing to spend €20 million on a player that might not fit. This hesitation has resulted in less playing time.
Teams in Italy have expressed interest in Zaza which could return the Matera native back to Serie A. A move to another club would have to be agreed upon by both Juventus and West Ham, however. For the time being, Simone Zaza will remain in Hammers claret & blue.
