As Silvio Berlusconi inches closer to selling the club, Milan continue to be active on the open market. The midfield remains a glaring concern, but the Rossoneri could soon see reinforcement arrive.
The club has been one of the most active on the transfer front since the summer window opened last week, and have been throwing their name in the hat for several of the top midfielders.
According to Sky Sports, Borja Valero tops the shortlist of midfielders manager Vincenzo Montella covets, with Mateo Kovacic, Piotr Zielinski and Leandro Paredes joining him. Mati Fernandez of Fiorentina also remains in the mix for the Rossoneri midfield, which needs heavy retooling.
