Southampton ready to break the bank for Palermo star

According to the English news outlet Daily Star, Southampton are readying a bid for Palermo’s Argentinian forward Paolo Dybala

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini rates the Rosanero star highly, but Southampton are readying a bid that would break their current transfer record, eclipsing last season’s £15 million purchase of Pablo Osvaldo.

The 20-year-old has netted three times in Serie A this season in addition to setting up two goals for his teammates. Currently Palermo’s joint-top scorer alongside countryman Franco Vasquez, Dybala has contributed to Palermo’s impressive start to the season following the loss of two of the club’s star forwards.
